This page contains the privacy statement of Ultimatum (also referred to as “Controller”). The Controller is established in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Ultimatum considers the careful processing and security of personal data to be important. When processing personal data, we comply with the requirements set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In this privacy statement, we explain which personal data we collect and use, for what purposes, and how you can request corrections.

Personal data
Personal data refers to all information related to the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”). This includes details such as your name, address, phone number, and email address. You are not required to provide personal data in order to use our website. In certain cases, however, we may need your name, address, and other information to provide the desired services, such as when using contact forms.

Processing of personal data
We process and use the following data:

  1. All personal data that you provide to Ultimatum, for example when sending an (email) message to Ultimatum, entering into an agreement, or filling in a (web) form. This includes data such as name, address, phone number(s), and email address;
  2. When you use our services, we will normally only collect the personal data necessary to provide the specific service. When entering into an agreement, we may request your name, email address, phone number, and payment details. Any additional information will only be collected voluntarily;
  3. When visiting our website, cookies are stored. Cookies are small text files that websites can use to improve user experience. By law, we are allowed to store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of the site (functional cookies). For all other types of cookies, we require your permission;
  4. When you visit our website, we may collect personal data through analytical cookies. This includes the names of the pages visited, the browser and operating system used, the duration of your visit, the date and time of access, search engines used, and IP addresses.

Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
Our website and/or services do not intend to collect data from visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from their parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify the age of a visitor. We therefore recommend that parents monitor their children's online activities to prevent the collection of data without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal data about a minor without permission, please contact us at info@ultimatum-thegame.com, and we will delete this information.

Purpose of processing
We process personal data for various purposes (and only to the extent permitted by law), such as:

  1. Performing the agreement that you have entered into with us;
  2. Sending news and service-related information to inform, engage, and update our customers. You can always unsubscribe if you do not wish to receive such information;
  3. Offering products and/or services from Ultimatum (for marketing purposes). We only send marketing communication if you have given explicit consent, for example via the sign-up form for our newsletter or updates. You can always unsubscribe if you no longer wish to receive these;
  4. Analytical purposes, in order to improve our services. You may also opt out of this.

Data retention
We do not retain your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless required by law, or due to technical, organisational, or legal obligations.

Disclosure to third parties
The data we collect is necessary to fulfil the purposes described above. We will only disclose data to third parties (“processors”) if necessary for the execution of these purposes (e.g., in connection with providing services or products we deliver to you), and if you have given your consent. The data is processed exclusively within the European Economic Area (EEA).
We use Google Analytics to analyse the usage of our website. In this context, data is processed in an anonymised form and is not shared with third parties.

All our employees and any third parties involved in data processing are obliged to comply with the GDPR and maintain the confidentiality of the data they process.

When transferring or receiving data on our website, we always use encryption technologies that are recognised as standard within the IT sector. When receiving or transferring certain critical information, such as financial or health data, we use a secure server. We have implemented the necessary security measures to prevent the loss, unlawful use, or alteration of the information we receive on our site.
